Nutrition is a great class taught at our Reeds Spring High School. In Nutrition, students learn the basics of cleaning, cooking, and baking! This nutrition course also focuses on how diseases, conditions, and problems can be prevented or reduced with a healthy diet. The members will get the opening opportunity to have hands on experience in the kitchen class. Right now, these students are learning how to keep things sanitary and washing necessities before and during the process of cooking their excellent dishes.

Reeds Spring Students feel honored to have the guidance towards bright and delighted future in the baking house.  Shelby Loftis, a member of the class states, “I enjoy the class, I feel like it’s going to be a great chance to learn a lot of new and exciting  things that are going to prep me for my future in cooking”.

After taking a nutrition class, you will have a significant amount of information about how to cook and prepare foods that are not only good but also healthy!  You will be able to pass on this information to the rest of your family for generations to come.  The knowledge that students will have can be incorporated into grocery shopping with future partners and kids. You will not only learn how to cook properly but you will also learn how to clean and safely store foods so that they last and don’t make you sick. Learning about nutrition and food in a more formal setting will set you up for a healthier lifestyle and give you knowledge that you will use on a daily basis.  There are many positive reasons to take a nutrition course that will benefit you and your family for years to come.  Mrs. Greene is the staff in charge of the nutrition class and she runs a very smooth class along with a whiteboard that notifies students on what’s to come she also expansive knowledge in the real life cooking world!
